Walk Your Way To Health in 2017 | Paleo Adelaide
Paleo Adelaide – Every month in 2017, Adelaide Paleo is teaming up with BPM Holistic Wellness to bring you a series of walking events so you can walk your way to health! These are casual walks outside in the great outdoors with a group of likeminded people. The first three for 2017 have been a huge success!
After conquering the (almost) 10km “Chambers Gully Trail” in January, February walk saw us do the “Tatendi (easy) Trail” in the gorgeous “Onkaparinga River National Park” followed by a picnic! March saw us looking over the beautiful waterfalls of Morialta and in April we will be stepping back in time at Shepherd’s Hill Recreation Park.
Here is a quick recap of the Tatendi (easy) trail and a few pics from our walks…
The trail starts next to the Chapel Hill & Samuel Gorge Wineries, it is a 30-60min return trip depending how much time is spent at the lookout which looks over the amazing gorge that the Onkaparinga River meanders through. The walk to the lookout had a few steady, but not too steep ascents and descents whilst making our way through the wild olive trees that are all throughout the park. The group all chatted away and enjoyed the sunshine before the rain clouds rolled in later that day. From the lookout you can see the river down below and the rolling hills in all other directions.
Once we made our way back to the start/end point of the walk, the few who could remain all made use of the great picnic area which is perfect for families with ample tables, toilets and BBQ’s. In the cooler months to come, I think a family & friend’s day might be in order to really enjoy the great outdoors we have in our own backyard, so let us know if you would be interested.
